Volunteering with English Nature

English Nature has over 1,000 volunteers across the country, offering help on National Nature Reserves and Sites of Special Scientific Interest, providing expert advice on protected species to members of the public and helping with projects or administration in Area Teams.

Roles for Volunteers in English Nature

English Nature has involved volunteers for many years, and over this time a number of ‘traditional roles’ have emerged. These include -

Other roles

The roles mentioned above are certainly what the majority of English Nature’s volunteers do - you could say that they are our speciality. However, some teams also offer the chance of project based or office/administration work.
