Corporate
governance is defined as the systems and frameworks by which
organisations are directed and controlled. It is concerned with
decision-making at the heart of, and at the highest levels of,
an organisation. Good corporate governance, and the guidance
that comes with it, provides an organisation with clear accountabilities.
Individual officers have the confidence to carry out their
jobs efficiently and know what standards are expected of them.
This leads to increased confidence and respect for our work
by both Government and the public. |
