Access to information

Natural England's Access to Information Policy

Natural England is committed to promoting and actively developing, a culture of Access to Information logoopenness, transparency and accountability embodied in the Access to Information legislation.

For Natural England's Access to Information Policy and Disclosure Log, go to the Freedom of information page on the Natural England website.

English Nature's Disclosure log

This log shows responses to access to information requests that were submitted to English Nature, and that are regarded as having a wider public interest. These have been released under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and or the Environmental Information Regulations 2004. Please note that the disclosure log does not list everything that has been released under the Access to Information Legislation.

Some responses consist of large numbers of documents that are not held in an electronic format. Where practical, the documents concerned have been scanned and made available online.

However, in certain cases the volume of files involved has made this impractical and the information can only be provided in a hard copy format.

For information about how to access any such material please contact:

Information Related to the Thames Basin Heaths Special Protection Area (SPA)

English Nature was asked a series of questions relating to the Thames Basin Heaths SPA.

Detailed Answers (pdf 100 KB)

The Thames Basin Heaths (SPA) is a site of European importance for three species of breeding birds; woodlark, Dartford warbler, and nightjar. The SPA is a highly fragmented site in the heavily urbanised Thames Valley area. It is comprised of 13 Sites of Special Scientific Interest (SSSIs) and covers 3 English Nature teams, and 9 local authorities, affecting 6 others. The TBH Area Based Delivery Projects (ABD) is a three year project with 5 interlinked strands: Strategic planning, SSSI management, Access management, Heathland restoration in the wider environment, and Species monitoring.
